Debate Trinitarian vs Oneness Pentecostal (2010)

A moderated religious debate on the subject of John 5:23: 'that all should honour the Son just as the honour the Father,' between a Trinitarian (myself) and a Oneness Pentecostal. This debate took place in Paltalk.com in 2010.

My paltalk.com name is Limey_Bob As for a debate title, choose something which sticks to scripture and I might agree to debate you on a sunday evening between my next debates on Sunday 24th July and Sunday 21st August. How about this title: Is Yahweh God eternally the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit or did Yahweh God become the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

@georgehuddo No, we don't have prove that there is only ONE GOD. We have no disagreement there is there? You are the one telling the world there is a god made out of three persons. So why don't you show me Scripture where it says exactly that God is one in three persons or that there are three thrones in heaven or any Commandments or Salvation in three persons or anyone ever Baptized or receiving three persons into their hearts or any Disciple murder for preaching the trinity?

he was the son of God in the sense he was the only begotten of the father. he was the father in the sense that thus saith the scripture unto us a child is born a son is given his name shall be called immanual which being interpited GOD with us

Now notice when Jesus came to earth He took on the form of man. we were created in his image. he took on the form of man. and thought it not robbery to be equal with man, so with him being in the form of man, he allowed himself to think as a man feel as a man. why is it so hard to believe that the creator of the universe can be both flesh and spirit. lets read Is9:6 notice how it reads unto us a child is born but unto us a son is given(john3:16) but he shall be called everlastin father  part6

the image in which God said Let us make man after our image Gen1:26 is our spirit even we as humans are three in one. body,soul,spirit. God is omnipresent we all agree on that correct. therefore that is why it is possible for Jesus to be on earth being baptized, and all at the same time the voice came from heaven. in order to say there is two, is to say God cannot be everywhere at once.such as in water and in heaven. Part3 gen1:1 in the beginning GOD created. John 1:1-3 in the beginning was the word. WE see in gen God created the earth, we see the word that was manifest in flesh (John chp1) "without him there was nothing made that was made. Job 8:8 God is a spirit. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at anytime. We as humans cannot possibly see God> Why? cause he is a spirit. and we were created in that image. his image is not arms legs flesh our spirit returns to God who gave it,part4 next

Part2. my point is this: however you approach any subject, rather it be trinity/oneness. eternal punishment/or universal salvation. usually determines how you read into scriptures, that deal with the subject. What I see in most people with strong beliefs, is that they study to prove that they are right. (which usually involves ignoring some verses, and twisting others. as i listen to your debates, I wonder if pride will not allow you to admit that some of you are wrong.. part3 what i see on this

part1 of reply I trust that most here will see if what I say is backed by the bible. on my daily newspaper journal, when I quote scripture, I give book,chapter, verse. (and my puncuations are professional.) I have always been intrigued by this subject. I will say that most who believe in the trinity, were no doubt raised in a church who taught the trinity. and those who believe in the oneness, like wise were probably raised in a church that teaches oneness. my point is on part2 of my reply

@Ilovjas The word Trinity is not found in the Bible, neither is the words Theocratic Organization. If you want to play word games, let's get serious. The name Jehovah is not found in the original manuscripts either, but the tetragrammaton YHWH is. You want to argue Oneness doctrine Right??? You want to put your point of view accross, and if Scripture proves you wrong, you will still bat on Yes???
