I Talk Talk furono un gruppo inglese post-rock fondato da Mark David Hollis, in attività dal 1981 al 1991. Il gruppo è noto al grande pubblico essenzialmente per i brani It's My Life e Such a Shame, che avevano imperversato nelle radio nel 1984, in pieno periodo New Wave.

"Living In Another World" è estratta da "The Colours of Spring", terzo album dei Talk Talk.
Realizzato del 1986, è l'album in studio più venduto del gruppo musicale e ha raggiunto la top10 in numerosi stati, incluso il loro paese d'origine.

Better parted
I see people crying
Truth gets harder
There's no sense in lying
Help me find a way from this maze
I can't help myself

When I see tenderness before you left
That even breaking up was never meant
But only angels look before they thread
Living in another world to you

Better parted
I see people hiding
Speech gets harder
There's no sense in writing
Help me find a way from this maze
I'm living in another world to you
And I can't help myself
did I see tenderness where you saw Hell
Did I see angels in the hand I held
God only knows what kind of tale you'd tell
Living in another world to you

  • thx.

  • it's just a patchwork of the original, without the expected high points and energy.

  • Words pale into insignificance!

  • The same, just a little bit lighter: MH

  • Three people have no soul

  • Taken from the Asides Besides compilation album, should be listened at full volume through a pair of speakers

  • After the breakup of Talk Talk, Harris and Webb came together to form another band, ' or ' Rang, while Mark Hollis, after several years of silence, has produced a self-titled album in 1998 with whom he continued his career, before retiring permanently from the world of music. Friese-Greene continued to produce with the pseudonym of Heligoland, perpetually linked to experimentation.

  • Absolutely perfect '12 inch' Dubbed & Re-Edited Version (since this is not the Extended Original Single). I only have rarely heard it this way in an over 8 mins prolonged Version so I am amazed to have such here and now. Thanks for posting! In the 80's specially such edited and long Versions were the real 'Dancefloor fillers' in the clubs making people rocking and dancing their devils out of their brains&souls into the Weekend.

  • this is an amazing song

  • its about time mark hollis/talk talk were in the rock and roll music hall of fame with the fab four the beatles.
