Something Rotten in Jackson County

The Ethics Commission twice subpoenaed the Legislators but they refused to cooperate with the official investigation into the personal use of public funds. Rather than have a court enforce the subpoenas they decide they should just ask them again.
The attorney who purportedly represented the Legislators was hired by the County despite that the issue before the Commission is accepting free legal services (paid for by the County). Do you smell something fishy?
