i would go for the 1gig version. You'll be more future proof for games that demand more memory but i think in performance they are both at same speed. Maybe the extreme gamer version has higher clock rates or something but you also can overclock the 1 gig version if you have sufficient cooling!!!

Yess i love it too....with the new catalyst control center drivers version 9.1 you even have OpenGL version 3.0 support for it....

I'm saying USB to HDMI dongle/adapter what i meant was DVI to HDMI dongle/adapter sorry about that. I must have been excited :D !!!

The 1 gig is better if you have monitors on the bigger side and the 512mb for monitors on the smaller side

hey guys i got a question please ... i bought a sapphire ati hd 4870 1gb but the box is different than i saw on the internet(amazon for example) this one got a blue guys on it (not a girl) and it says pci express version ?and crossfire.... is the one i got better better ?and what's the different

if it has the same plastic protection but has different picture or logo on it, then it doesn't matter because that's just branding, same card just different brand. if it has a totally different look then mabye you have a different version of the 4870 like the PCS+ version
