If my uncle had one of those, the noise would never stop, because the flying part would get lost in his garbage heap of a room.

In my room, the dog would get off my bed, go after it, & run off with it, waking up everyone else in the process.

i got this for xmas and when i was setting the clock the alarm kept going off and the thing kept flying away so i had to jam it back in ever time and so the next day i wake up to it, lose the propeller behind my nightstand and i try jamming my finger into the spinny thing. u press the snooze button and rip the batteries out. when i tried to fix it later today, the motor is like broken and the propeller cant get a good spin and it just drops off when it starts up

Pretty ingenious, but at the same time, if I bought one of those, my roommates would tell me to throw it out or they would kick me out of the apartment after about a week.

Yeah, you're right, Kittens. But.... for an object to fly upwards and then freeze in the air, it has to be programmed, meaning - computer memory. Also, I assume you'd have to charge this 'flying clock' and always remember to upplug it bfore bed. Sounds like an easy $200, $300

Since I posted that I bought a "Zen Alarm Clock" (google it with quotes), and it's freaking fantastic.

I put it across the room and I simply cannot sleep through it, so mission accomplished. It also doesn't fill my first four waking hours with black hatred the way other alarms do.

It's true, this isn't a product for the faint of heart. Don't feel bad if you can't take it.

Douglas Adams, Jim Butcher, and Robert Jordan on his nightstand. The funny thing is those are in the bookshelf right next to my bed, too.
