Ghana is very badly affected by malaria. Navrongo, in the north, has year-round transmission. On average people receive 418 infective bites per year which is very high. 12,000 nets were distributed in four related distributions around the Navro-Pungu area achieving blanket coverage of the 22,000+ population before the high transmission season of July to November.
