The commentators obviously haven't got an eye for tennis at all, as is evident from their comments. They keep being amazed at how Soderling's game 'crumbled', not realizing it was MADE to crumble. They just see Soderling was N°4 and Dolgopolov, still relatively unknown then, 40 or 50 places lower.
They can't spot what anyone with an eye for tennis spots immediately: that Dolgopolov is a massive talent.
Massive talents don't always convert in tournament/slam wins because other factors are...

During a match, Dolgopolov uses awkward strokes to engage and extra-ordinary strokes to win. He has variety! He is an unconventional double-backhander. Very interesting to watch.
