he claims to play a dubstep tune - then goes on to play some ridiculus sped-up reggae beat that is about 170 bpm (dubstep runs at about 140 - everyone knows that). WTF!!??
Also he calls dubstep 'new' - dubstep was already well established by 2004.
Anyone who wants to know shud check 'Dubstep Allstars Vol.1: Mixed By Hatcha' on Tempa recordings......not a lot of reggae onit!!
Dubstep was born out of the UK garage scene, referencing the aesthetics of drum and bass. The 'dub' in dubstep refers to instrumental music with massive basslines and the soundsystem culture that comes from reggae, not the actual music itself, the use of which came later as an extension of the original dubstep sound. Dubstep does not revolve around reggae!!! its just a small part of the diverse dubstep scene.. not the root of it!!!!
Does this guy even know what dubstep is??
