This is one of the greatest classic Persian song I have ever listened to.

  • Its so beautiful, because of its deep meaning and also because it is a true story.

I like to listen to this song, it makes me cry but at the same time gives me strength..

And every time I put this song on, my parents shout "louder, louder!" from the living room..:)

  • thank you so much for this! it is truely wonderful and brings back very happy memories from my childhood of my mother and grandmother singing me this melancholy captivating song! merci!!!

  • @netgenez I know about Besame Mucho (Kiss me a lot). If you are referring to another song, please name it or send a link to ti.

  • @BazmAfarin

the mexican song was written in 1940...

It was really painfull for my dad, but one of the greatest iranian song is from MEXICO...

  • @geminheim You are on the right track but not quite accurate. The poem was written by Mr. Heidar Reghabi (AKA Haleh). He wrote the poem in honor of an Iranian Armenian member of a communist party that was being executed by the Shah's regime. The music is by Mr. Majeed Vafadar who was inspired by a Greek song in composing the music. Mr. Hassan Golnaraghi was the first person that sang the song and made it famous.

  • @skristoferu This account is completely correct and contrasts the nonsense (p. 1) calling it Mexican in origin. This is Persian and its composer wrote it for his daughter the night before being executed as a Communist by the Shah's regime in the 1950s.

  • amazingly beautiful song revealing so much about the Iranian people and its quest for freedom

  • Ahangsaz in asar ziba: majid vafadar

ejra: parviz yahaghi va moshir Homayoun Shahrdar

  • ghashang bod merci
