Thanks. JP is located about 1 hour due west of Denver. An easy drive for any high clearance vehicle and can be done slowly with just about anything. And yes the snow cornice often remains all summer. We only get to fly up there 2-3 months out of the year. The rest of the time the road is drifted over further down the mountain.
