Politicians are the craftiest & most cunning of all con artists & salesmen. They can manipulate even the most cherished beliefs & intellectual arguments to convince U to give them immense coercive power over other people & eventually, even over U . They're so good @ it that they can even convince many to become fanatic supporters, & themselves to believe their own bullshit. This guy makes G. Bush look like a ice cream salesman. Yes it's important to wean ourselves off oil but do remember that poorer people are really suffering because of the prices... As are businesses that would be employing people. Maybe he was in a better position to see that when he voted for a gas tax break earlier in his career?

obama's a hypocrite, but i agree it is a bad idea. We need to switch energy sources and fast. The more we try to push this problem of to the near future with things like gas tax relief, the longer its going to take us to switch to alternative energy
