@shockforce2 I hear you. But if you follow the progression of BFB's lyrics in later years/ on later albums, it is clear they share the same agony/ horror of mankind/ the world. This song was written when the guys in the band were 18 years old. The lyrics in this song are a form of wishful thinking (e.g. "the world shocks and terrifies me, so I will adopt a stance that I am immune to it and indifferent"). Cuz obviously BFB cares about the less fortunate in this life. It's what they're all about.

I do feel, I feel to much, and my mind and spirit suffers everyday I wake up and go to sleep because of this, I believe this suffering is the only left that is still keeping me a human in a non - human world, and it will take death to make me let go of that. My pure hatred for our western apathy, and global apathy, makes me completely cancerous to anything that unfortiounently gets close to me, yet I still love every lyric in this song.
