The static water level must have been way way less than 25 feet. And this pump looks like a centrifugal pump not a jet pump.

That's a lie, the pump you have can not pump water from a 100 feet below ground, the well may be 100 feet deep but the pump can not pump water below 32 feet level !

It is simply impossible to suction pump over 32 feet. So this well must be shallower than that.
