I'll update this when I have an article on my site about the lens.

  • @dbkfrogkaty1 The FA 50mm is a good lens for sure. I kind of wish I kept mine so I could use it with my old *ist D that can't do SDM auto-focus. To get something in the 35mm range, that new cheap DA 35mm f2.4 seems like a good choice.

  • I like the review. It's a pretty nice lens (expensive) but I'll stick with my FA 50mm f/1.4. It's smaller, lighter and I like the fact that it's a bit shorter for inside photos. I'd love to get the FA 35mm f/2.0 to go with it but those are hard to come by.

  • @john240881111 The 43mm lens seems really nice. If money isn't a problem, I think both would be useful in their own ways. The 43 for wider angle, quality of the background blur, and an aperture ring. The 55 for maximum aperture, quietness of the focus motor, and weather resistance.

  • great review!! i was gonna buy this one but i ended up with the ltd 43mm 1.9 (silver) and i think i made the right decision!! lol but still i would love to play with that 55mm 1.4
