I would disagree. I'm an Appalachian. Bluegrass naturally evolved out of my culture's traditional music when Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, & others took the GI's exposure to Hawaiian slackkey & created something new that incorporated the old sound, too. New-grass is a hybrid of bluegrass & jazz, not country. These guys show more influence from 1960's folk music, while keeping their home culture's tradional Applalachian sound within the music's structure. I'd call that folk music..

Gosh they are so much better live. There sound just doesn't get captured as well in the studio. Maybe its the sound tech idk, but they are so much more amazing live.

You are possibly the biggest idiot I've ever encountered. It's not meant to be perfect, it's about the soul and passion in the music. And they've nailed that. Even when it isn't perfect, they're still such a wonderful band. Maybe check out their other videos?? Not many brothers have this much love between them. Scott and Seth seem to have the admiration and connection, on and off stage the seldom you ever see in people these days. This also goes for their sister and their mother and father. You feel the honesty and love when they play live, much of the reason for their out of tune sound. They don't do sound checks, they come out, tune up and play.
