Hugh Richardson, England, throwing the first of the Speerorama weights on route to finishing 2cd in the M70 catagory at the 8th LSW & WTA Throw's Championships, Tata, Hungary 21cd August 2009. Hugh is the President of the World Throwers Association.
The Speerorama consists of three different weight shot putts thrown with a standing javelin technique, over arm, from a standing throw, no run up allowed. It is this over arm motion that causes most of the arguements; a discus style thow like in the Shockorama will result in a much greater distance then over arm but is not allowed. For senior men the 3 weights are 2kg, 2.5kg, 3kg.
