It doesn't accept third party apps, and it doesn't work with Window Mobile Device Center. It's not a Windows Mobile device - it's a Windows CE-based GPS.

Hey would you mind trying out installing a windows mobile app and see if it works also if you know if it works with windows mobile device center or active sync.

This is HP's attempt to break into the market that is dominated by the likes of Garmin. Hopefully the next version is better - this one had some promise, but it didn't live up to what it should be.

that suck, why buy an hp gps when you have big name brands like Garmin? I thought this was a mini computer with GPS to supplement.

@ilantchu That means that your car isn't kicking out enough power on the USB port (I'm assuming that's what you're referring to). There's no fix for it other than to use a lighter adaptor.

@ilantchu Are you using the same cable to charge it at home vs. in the car? They might have done something "special" to the pin-outs on the cable.
