The Journeymen featured Dick Weissman, John Phillips (Mamas and Papas) and Scott McKenzie (If You Go to San Francisco).

Just two of the many rockers who got their start as folkies!

  • I think many people consider Scot McKenzie a one hit wonder with San Francisco, but his talent was vastly underrated. I consider him one of the very best voices of his generation.

  • This kind of music set the standards? Ouch. Glad the British Invasion happened

  • I saw The Journeymen live in Minneapolis in 1962. [Wow, I must be old.]

  • This was from HOOTENANNY, November 9, 1963. They also did a killer rendition of "No One To Talk My Troubles To."
