the chord change in "baby blue" where they start singing "what can i do, what can i say" stuck out as one of the more memorable parts of songs i've heard. i need to listen deeper in to his lyrics the next time i spin "no dice." seems like he had that brooding intensity, yet playfulness that gene clark (my favorite songwriter) exhibited. there is a lot to learn from those types. they belong in a much more beautiful place than this world. who knows where they are now? if anywhere...
