Universal access to ARVs NOW!! Activism in the face of HIV. Young Sali Arkutu is determined to take action. Alarmed at how HIV has affected the lives of people close to her, especially a cherished teacher, she launches an appeal for improved access to anti-retroviral treatment in her country.   • This is really good. We Africans, especially girls, are frequently encouraged NOT to be activist, often by our own families. "Now, daughter, we don't want the neighbours thinking that we're the parents of 'that AIDS girl', do we, now?"
