What Key ? What Key ? One Of The Greatest Records Ever Made. And The D.J's Just Flipped Part 1 Over For Part 2 On The B-Side. Made An Instant A-Side And Number One For 3 Weeks. Just Amazing. And Marvin Gaye Is Wailing On The Drums. Love It. Love It.

  • MY WHITE COUSIN FROM DEARBORN, MICH. WAS AT THE LIVE RECORDING OF FINGERTIPS. HE SAID MARY WELLS BASS PLAYER CAME ONSTAGE.HE'S THE PERSON WHO SHOUTS WHAT KEY? WHAT KEY? NEAR THE END OF FINGERTIPS. THIS WON"T WIN ME ANYTHING, BUT IT"S A GREAT PIECE OF TRIVIA IF THE QUESTION EVER COMES UP. 50'S & EARLY 60"S ROCK &

    ROLL WILL LIVE FOR EVER.

  • Are you sure it's Marvin Gaye on drums??

This makes Justin Bieber look like a joke.

  • I just love the absolute joy and exuberance of this recording...the kids in the crowd are just as much part of it.

  • @snowballblack1 i love that kind of trivia. I had no idea it was Mary Wells' bass player...he is now deceased.

  • @theface07 Justin Bieber IS a joke, compared to God-given talent like stevie, marvin and ray charles. You can't fake song writing ability or raw emotion and energy. The young-uns can't understand the difference between real talent like this and the artificial crap they make today.

  • @theface07 He was always a joke :)

  • My White Cousin......

  • Born and raised in Sydney Australia. First heard this on 2SM the only rock radio station on radio at the time. Caught the train into the city and ordered the 45 [rpm] record and waited months for it. When it it arrived it was labelled back the front - in other words part1 was part2 - still have the record today and have transferred to the Ipod. Best bit of music ever!

  • lil stevie jest RoLL_llllLLd it on out. .............never hear anything likit agin.

  • Oh yeah! Marvin was a session drummer for Motown. Stevie played drums as well......

  • i just absolutely adore this!

  • Man, this IS music ladies and gentlemen...my mom was a kid when this song was out...REAL music transcends time and blesses our ears. Thank you Stevie Wonder!!!!
