The Judicial Council met in a special session on Friday, September 9, to consider an emergency funding request for the current fiscal year from the Superior Court of San Francisco County. By a unanimous vote, the council approved the allocation of $2.5 million in one-time emergency funding to assist the court in reducing courtroom closures and staff layoffs. The only other item on the council agenda for this meeting was the receipt of two independent evaluations of the California Court Case Management System (CCMS).
