What a disgusting piece of right-wing propaganda.

@Johnhaile88 I don't see how you can be blind where all other advanced western countries have adapted these basic principals. It's because the US have been fighting communism for 50 years you're all scared of it, but your fear is ungrounded. And looking at the statistics, the majority of the American people wanted a government run healthcare option, saying the current bill doesn't go far enough.
-
@Johnhaile88 We should indeed only have public option and no private option on these kind of things. It's about the pool of skilled doctors/teachers, who will turn to private since it pays them more. The incentive is not to do well, the incentive is to make money. Without a private option on basic things such as education and health care, these people will go public aswell. Talking about examples, my country is almost all public schools, and has one of the BEST educated students in the world.

@Subher0 A perfect example of private run along public options... schools... Unfortunately public schools cant go out of business because they run on tax payers money. Does that mean they are better? of course not. In fact they don't even compare to the level of learning a private school will teach a student because a private school has the incentive to do well. Public schools dont have that same incentive.

Here is how you resolve the health care problem. 225 Million people x $40.00 a month = $9,000,000,000/month. Case Closed.

This video was awesome. After watching this, you wonder which party it is that really wants Grandma to die.

Stossel is a total asshole.
-
@Johnhaile88 What Obama should have done is have a public option run along the private option. The private option would go out of business, that's all the proof you need to know public is better.
-
@Johnhaile88 The incentive is the people's vote. But, there are alot of problems with your way of voting and how your politicians get elected, so maybe that problem should be dealt with first. You must understand, there is a reason why every advanced western nation has this type of system.... I know: because it works out for the people.
-
@Johnhaile88 You miss the point. It's cheaper than the money paid to private insurers now collectively indeed, and allowing everybody to have healthcare. Maybe for you personally it wouldn't, because you might never get sick, but if you get seriously sick once and the chances are high you will, it will be cheaper. It's paying taxes to the government allowing EVERYBODY care, or it's paying insurance fees allowing only some to have care.
mortgages? think about the government programs that forced banks to loan money to lower income people who had no business buying a house..Get a job..oh wait..

a job or become a producer. These types of people suck the money right out of the economy. When this happens, it kills innovation. With the lack of innovation in health care technology and pharmaceuticals, this country's health care quality will begin to drop at an increasing rate each and every year. This will cause even more deaths, that could have been prevented, occur. Why are you supporting a liberal/ socialist system that will yield even more unnecessary deaths?
