Don't Touch: ch. 31 pt 2

He took his hands off his face and put his hands on my shoulders again.
"You gotta understand that Im a guy, and your boyfriend. Guys get crazy when their girl isnt happy, okay? So forgive me, Alli, I dont mean to be such a guy." He explained the best he could. I bit my lip and looked away from him for a minute. I felt his hands slide up to my face and turn my view back to him. He looked at me with a puppy dog expression. I couldnt help but playfully roll my eyes and chuckle.
"Fine. I GUESS I forgive you." I forced a small smile at him.
"Great." He gave me a kiss and pulled me by the hand to his living room. He turned on the TV and we talked. We talked for a long time, I think. But somehow, to my dismay, the subject touched something I didnt want to discuss.
"What did you say?" I snapped.
"All Im saying is that you should get over him." Tom retorted.
"What does that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"I mean what good has Kevin done? Just drop him." he said it like he was explaining to a child.
"You cant just drop someone who was practically your best friend, Tom... It just doesnt work that way." I shook my head and got up.
"Where ya going'?" he asked, and spread his feet out where I was just sitting.
"I... Im... just leaving. Probably go home or something." I waved and left the house. I positioned myself behind the wheel and turned on the engine. I backed out of the drive way and started driving.
I wasnt exactly in control anymore. My hands stayed tightly gripped on the steering wheel keeping it straight while my right foot kept on the gas, and my left foot refused to hit the brakes as I drove right past my house. I might have been yelling inside my head saying 'Stop! Where do you think youre going?!' but it was overpowered by another voice simply stating 'Keep going, dont stop the car, not yet.' So my car continued down the road until I hit a new subdivision. The car stopped along side a curb and I took control of my body again. Looking around I saw the apartment building. Great, the perfect time to realize what Im doing. I think I sat there for a good five minutes pondering my next move.
'Turn around right now! Go home, you dont want to be here!' the first voice shouted.
'Youre already here.' the second voice told me.
I thought back to what I said before I left Toms house.
"You cant just drop someone who was practically your best friend. It just doesnt work that way."
I groaned and stepped out of my truck. I slammed the door and walked on inside the building. My feet kept going as that first pestering little voice continued its ranting. I think Im going mentally insane, hearing these voices. I was in their hallway now and in front of their door. I took a deep breath and hit my knuckles against it.
