@greengtrs Haha thanks for the suggestions! We're playing metal anyways so it's alright to sound and look a bit thrashy :) Kudos on the vid!

I'm not trying to be a feel sorry for me kid, but, I've always wanted a Gibson. I play guitar myself and I dream of owning a Gibson. I wanted to know if you had a Gibson you didn't want and were willing to give away. Thanks. By the way, you play really good!

@Ohwow979 Sometimes you need to route out some extra wood as some pickups are thicker than others and sit deeper but most should work with minimal fuss....
-
@greengtrs ok so my question is can you use any type of humbucker in that? like those chrome solid block ones?
-
@flamingRose100 I would start with a good pickup...I love P-90's but I would probably just stick with a humbucker (or maybe a humbucker sized P-90) so you don't have to re-size the pickup hole...some good pots would be good too...then the nut (Graphtech Tusq XL), then maybe some better tuners...and finally the bridge...good luck!

i have this guitar as my first and i want to know some good up grades i herd putting a p-90 puck up is a good upgrade anything elss that would be good on this
I have one of these, been playing it in drop C... Seems alright to me, I'm thinking about just decking it out and really keeping it as a first guitar for metal stuff. Any ideas, comments or suggestions?

@mattspeakslove It isn't really worth anything to sell it so keep it as a kick around, back up guitar...maybe for different or drop tunings, etc. Put a good pickup (and electronics...pots/jack) and a good nut and it could go a long way...and you wouldn't have to worry about it getting beat up...it could be the one you throw to your stage hand from across the stage (lol)...

Idk y but I prefer stratocaster over les paul idk its just that les paul strings are harder to press than stratocaster strings just saying

@juicyjoe97 I love Strats...they are still my favorite guitars...I do use a PRS most of the time, but I love Strats and nothing else sounds and feels just like them...but I think it's a case of you playing Epi's or Gibson's that weren't set up well because if they are set up equally well with identical strings, the Gibson will be easier to play...especially to bend notes/strings on...just saying...have a Happy New Year and thanks for watching!
