I saw this and I had to put it up because it was one of the stupidest calls I've seen.

Must agree, horrible call. Looks to me like Ellebry skated into Faligno just as much as Faligno skated into Ellerby only Ellerby had his head down.

Clean hit, foligno let up and even tried to avoid him.

This has to be one of the worst calls ever, this isn't even a penalty let alone a major! But that seems to be a trend nowadays, you let up on the guy, you get a penalty and/or suspension, while you go all out on the guy you get nothing. It's retarded!

This was a bad call... If you look closely at the video you will see both Foligno and Ellerby had there heads down following the puck. Foligno raised his head at the last moment and saw the collision coming and tried to get out of the way. You can see the snow spray created by Foligno as he tried to stop and jump out of the way. The ref had no choice but to call a penalty because of the response that was created, however calling a major and a misconduct was a gross overreaction.

This is fuckin' joke. The only penalty should of went to Jov there for smashin' Foligno's head into the glass after the hit.

it was such a bullshit call, especially when the ref made the call after Foligno went back to the Sens bench...Ellerby lost his footing and was falling when Foligno was trying to get the puck. Refs should start getting their head out of their asses and make some real calls!!

Sometimes, when you think a call is just waaaay to ridiculously stupid to be made, it's made. Foligno got ejected for this "hit," absolutely retarded.

@ickythump16 he wasn't trying to hit him. his hands went up into the air because he was trying to avoid making contact with him...the guy basically just fell into folignos momentum
