  • Milesharold, you can get it from Amazon.com. I picked up a spare from my local shop at Cheap Tobacco.

  • Does this come ready for U.S.A electricity or do you have to have a converter? What tobacco and tubes have you found that works best? I use Good STuff pipe tobacco and Golden Harvest Menthol 100m tubes. Have you tried these brands and how did they work? I an electric once that come from Germany and wasn't worth a thing. I give it to a friend and ended up throwing it away. I would love to have one if it would just work and on 110 electric without a converter.

  • @jasmart1944

Jasmart, this Powermatic II is made for our U.S. electricity. No converter is necessary. The spare one I got several weeks ago came in a white box.

I've used many brands of tobacco, even The Good Stuff and Golden Harvest. They work just fine in the machine. If the tobacco is moist then there will be a problem with it jamming.

I've also used many different 100's tubes like Zens, Cheap Tobacco, Gambler, etc. My fav is Zen and Cheap Tobacco, but that's just my own preference.

  • I just recently fired up my spare machine so the original lasted me about a year. The original one is still usable but some tobacco remnants slipped back causing the lever to move slightly forward, so each time I put a tube on I'd have to use 2 hands and hold the lever back.

Anyway, lasting a year for a heavy smoker using 100 tubes isn't too shabby. I'm still very happy with the purchase and machine.

My local store, Cheap Tobacco, now carries the Powermatic II for $79 - $20 less.

  • Is this still working?

  • @wolfen1057

The electric Powermatic is working just fine for me after a month of usage. I feel bad for irishlady that her's broke but mine is humming along.

This machine helps my aging muscles so much that I ordered a spare in case of future failure :)

Good luck to all of you.

  • Quit smoking and save yourself the money and aggravation...

  • I've owned several machines and this is the best. Pack it just like you would a hand crank - push the first bit down and against left edge then pack the rest as usual. The trick is to learn how to pack just shy of jamming the machine.

It does rip a little paper off the tube occassionally. Ya gota get that paper bit off the rubber pressure clamp or it will keep doing it.

  • @DiversityJ just got it it is ripping the end off of every single tube what am i doing wrong i have the cranking machines and this happens once in a while but this one is ripping every tube

  • I tried this and the head keeps falling off the lit cigarette no matter which pack setting I use. Anyone else having this problem? Going back to topomatic if there is no solution.

  • those SUCK. Get a TOP o Matic.. Its Crank.. Works 100X Better then these.. -.-

  • Can u make splifs with them tubes in that machine ?

important from Ireland where would you get cheap tobacco?

  • I got the same machine having trouble packing to the filter any clues what im doing wrong thanks.

  • Thank you so much for your reply. Lots of help. I just wonder why there is no refund or anything if you are not satisfied. I also have seen if you are having problems there is no help. I bought one once off of ebay from Germany and it just did not work regardless of what I did. It was my understanding at that time that they are not made in the U>S> and had to have convertor box. You could get a refund though. That really makes me wonder about this one. I really do want one if it works well.

  • where do you get one of these from?
