Kim Kardashian filed for divorce Monday morning oct 31st 2011 Halloween day , after 72 days of a not so great start to wedding their wedding kim kardashian files divorce papers on Kris Humphries

According to the divorce docs, Kim wants Kris to pay for his own lawyers' fees and she'll pay hers. And, she wants the court to reject any move by Kris to get spousal support. It's a shame this wedding only lasted 2 months.

Kim has hired Laura Wasser, who has represented Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel's almost ex-wife. the couple has a prenuptial agreement back in june before the marriage
The couple was married on August 20 in a lavish ceremony in Montecito, CA. the wedding was reported to cost as much as $10 mil, which means $138,888 for every day until today.
Kris didn't know Kim was filing divorce papers until this morning. As for why things fell apart after the wedding,
Some believe it's because the couple had not agreed where to live after all of the wedding madness finally died down. Kris was passionate about eventually settling down in Minnesota, where he's from and believed Kim was on board with the plan but she wasn't.

Kim feels that staying in town is the best thing for her career. Kim Kardashian will never, ever move to Minnesota and everyone knows that except Kris Humphries. At 12:38 PM oct 31st 2011: Kris released a statement on the split, claiming "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
The good thing is kim aint trying to get his money because they both file a prenup (prenuptial agreement). Both Kim and Kris have tons of money. Kim is worth a reported $35 mil.

As for Kris he's not only making $3.2 mil a year with the Nets, his family also owns a couple of burger joints in Minnesota. Kris' net worth is estimated at $8 million.
