An interview with BBC Radio Cornwall Presenter Laurence Reed, probing the fiscal footprint of Tim Smit and the Eden Project.

Of course fiscal footprints and carbon footprints are often closely correlated. In the case of the un-EDEN-like 'eden' project that has been self evident from the outset.

An 'environmental' 'project' theme park that boasts about getting over 1M people into long distance fossil fuelled vehicles and onto the roads and into the sky and through its turnstiles every year is clearly lacking logic and clarity in environmental impact matters.

It has been the extreme method of the 'eden' project's obsessional marketing and spinning that has obscured the grim reality of the true and massive scale of the not-like-EDEN-at-all 'eden' project's carbon emissions profile.

Here is an interesting study of how the not-like-EDEN-at-all 'eden' project has managed and manipulated information and public perception:

The methods used are not dissimilar to some of those used by extreme Cults to engender blind obedience and closed minds in their disciples.

As it pushes out the boundaries of presenting environmentally damaging activities as 'green', the not-like-EDEN-at-all 'eden' project more and more seems like a relic of Britain's Blair years, when lies, deceit and conceit were wrapped in mesmerising and slippery spin.

The not-like-EDEN-at-all 'eden' project, continuing these practices, in this interview of Tim Smit its part founder and manager by Laurence Reed of BBC Radio Cornwall, here acrobatically conflates 'success' with snails pace return of an overly generous and naively placed loan by Cornwall 'County' Council when more fundamental public services were and continue to be in need of proper funding.

Bailing out and/or subsidising the not-like-EDEN-at-all 'eden' project has taken priority over proper funding of social services, library services and Cornwall's Fire Brigade on a number of occasions in recent years.

Here are some of numerous letters in Cornwall's newspapers sharing Ian's views:
