My dog woofie has distemper, a viral infection that will almost certainly kill him. If the unscrupulous puppy mill that left him at a shelter in Lancaster, California had given him basic immunizations, he would be healthy right now. Please immunize your dogs, and please rescue your next pet from a shelter, don't buy them from a pet store or puppy mill.

Jesse, I know this old news now, but the JJG episode in which you discussed how much you loved Woofie, and how scared you were for him was as honest and affecting a thing I've heard in a long time.

I hope Woofie survived. Just rescued a pup from shelter last week and she was diagnosed with distemper last night. I work at an animal ER and know the statistics, but still believe in the power of love. She will be well taken care of and loved no matter how long she is with us!

Woofie is awesome. This video is sad cause Woofie reminds me of my a terrier I had who died young.

i work at an animal hospital, and it is so sad when they get sick like this. We always tell people to vaccinate, but some refuse. Another really bad virus is Parvo. I am glad you are educating other of this horrible virus. He was an adorable puppy. Im so sorry. :(

Just heard the "sadcast"...now I understand more...I hope that later you'll find another dog friend. Woofie is lucky to have had this time with you, and vice versa.
