This TV spot from the late 70s was for Southern Broadcasting Company's KQYT 95.5 FM in Phoenix. The voiceover talent is the late Norman Rose. The music is the station's theme for many years, "Music from Across the Way" by James Last.
I worked at this station back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. If my memories (and the few W-4 I've saved) are correct, KQYT was owned by Southern Broadcasting until it was bought by Harte-Hanks sometime in the early 1980s.
A great music format that had a lot of fans all over the country. With the aging of America, look for a comeback when one of the mastermind consultants realizes that there are just so many ways you can slice up rock and get a viable product.
