From 1933 to 1945, the Nazi regime led a campaign to eliminate those deemed undesirable. This spring, the HUB-Robeson Galleries will host a traveling exhibition from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, which will give patrons the chance to take a critical look at how those within the medical field help to legitimize unethical practices leading to persecution and genocide. The Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race exhibit will allow viewers to consider the complex issues we face today, such as how societies acquire and use scientific knowledge. It informs patrons on topics like medical ethics, genetic engineering and, specifically how to balance the rights of the individual against those of the larger community. The exhibit will run February 16 through May 2 in the Robeson Gallery, located on the bookstore level of the HUB-Robeson Center. Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race is organized and circulated by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. It has been made possible by The Lerner Foundation and Eric F. and Lore Ross.
