MEP Part Collection: September-December 2011

Third (and final) volume of my 2011 MEP collection. Sorry again for it being so short, but I didn't get into many MEPs this time around. *resolves to work harder on editing*
I have a full(ish) video that will be uploaded very soon, hopefully before the end of the week. I actually took a break from editing it to publish and upload this. Masking for too long gives me a headache. :(

I wish I was better at manga editing... so there's nothing to do but practice! Through making this MEP part, I learned a lot about how movement can add to a video.

Theme of the MEP was taboo pairings. Obviously, I chose Scar/cub!Kiara.
Yeah, I took a shortcut and made the whole thing grayscale as opposed to matching up the colorings. However, there is a teeny-tiny masking in there, and I'm REALLY fond of that first manip. Hurrhurr.

Or, in other words, I tried to emulate some Vegas-style colorings and blur/pans I've seen in other videos. It's involved, but doable for short vids such as these. Of course, they could certainly be applied to full-length videos, but I don't have the patience for it. (Hey, I can admit to my flaws.)
Relied more on clips and movement than simply slapping overlays on stuff *looks at part #2 and sweatdrops*

Well, one thing's for sure - I certainly improved since the beginning of the year. Please leave comments/feedback, it's what helps me grow as an editor.
