The ISF has an awesome note, and it sounds good the whole way through the rev range, where the M3 only really sounds great at the top end, and the C63 AMG is better as a low-rev muscle car noise. The RS4 sounds good too, but it's pretty reserved compared to the others.
you know C63 has a Deep V8 exahust note in low revs but in high revs in turns to a really normal sound beacause if it's tricky exhaust , in RS4 it is not as Wild as C63' exhaust sound but in end revs still it has good sound.
M3 is really different , not quit deep but in high end revs it clamours.
i did check it out in person.. that's where my comments came from. i respect your opinion - if you like it, that's totally fine. i think the car sounds great, and i don't wanna dislike a car over something so small. i suppose i'm just really, really into exhausts, and this set up just bothers me a little. not a bad set up, it's ok, just not for me
what bothers me most is the size differnce. California and R8 - the exhaust pipes and tips, although not connected, match up the almost exactly the same size. no deception there. the IS-F exhaust pipes are dramatically smaller than the tips in the bumper. deceiving in a way, i'm not a fan
Virtually every one of today's integrated exhausts are like that.
Check the new BMW 750Li and the Ferrari California with the integrated exhausts tips...they're all not physically connected to the actual exhaust systems!!!
I personally give Lexus points for being creative. The disconnected tips are actually becoming quite a fad with many companies and new cars these days.

actually, they're pretty big; you might want to check it out in person
Any bigger would make their height larger than the chrome tips. The whole oval design is for looks, and I like it.
Most exhausts are like that if they're not perfect circles.
Again, at least take a look at a photo of the exhausts again. They're not that small.

becoming quite a fad - you're damn right. even the R8 - as far as i'm concered, the best car out right now - has disconnected tips. point well taken.

fair enough. I can see your point.
