This should have been up on Wednesday or Thursday, but I've started re-playing Fallout: New Vegas.

This turned out less funny than it was in my head, so go easy on me.

Happy Saturday.
Happy birthday Charlie Sheen.
Happy Independence Day Qatar.

  • My mom used to read the Oz books to me. I remember thinking she was holding out on me by editing them. So, when I learned to read, they were the first books I read. It turns out she wasn't editing, she just can't read very well.

  • @StorytimewithAlex I've never read those, but I'd kind of like to. I'd just be worried about trying to track them all down.

  • @AdamOfNebb The good news is that you don't have to track them all down. Mr. Baum pretty much ran out of good ideas about halfway through the third book. He stopped even trying after the fifth book. I'm pretty sure no one has read any of the later books. They just bought them because everyone else was doing it, kind of like Twilight. (Unfortunately, Ms. Meyer ran out of ideas and talent before she started her first book.)

But the first three Oz books are worth your time and effort.

  • @StorytimewithAlex Cool, thanks for the heads up. I read that he didn't even want to make a second, he only did more by popular request.

  • There was a Halloween witch book I liked a lot, but I can't remember the name of it. Oops, the spel

  • @PortneufMartin You should try to find it. Could be some serious nostalgia there.

  • @TheIrishSummer It can be difficult to figure out a conversation between two screaming insane people.

Did not read those, not sure what they are. I did read/watch the Berenstain Bears though, so that's kind of close probably.

  • @lullation13 Thanks, I was a little unhappy with how it came out, so I'm glad it made someone smile.

  • @mojosmarty08 I also loved that book. It was pretty fantastic.

  • I don't know what you're talking about, that made me laugh out loud :D my favorite books were the Bearington Bears books. Epic.
