More than 200 high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing attended Explore Your Future at Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf in July. They spent a week in classrooms getting hands-on experience to get a taste of various majors and careers available to them, from engineering to computer science, business, computer graphics and investigative science. They also went bowling, ice skating, visited an amusement park and attended a dance where they made friends they'll keep in touch with.
