Beckham has a chance to take his revenge for the red card he received in the 1998 world cup against Argentina.
Beckham sets himself up to take the penalty against Argentina in the 2002 World Cup and scores.

  • Because he got sent off against Argentina in 98 and everyone blamed him when they lost that game. This was a sort of revenge.

  • "Those three little words that mean so much..." Class commentary!

  • revenge

  • Revenge is a bitch

  • nothing cn be better than infrm beckham with his cool haircuts

  • i still think that wsnt a pk. owen's dive got them the shitty pk. im still pissed about this game

  • There is an added context. Argentina were highly favored for this World Cup and this loss contributed greatly to them going out in the first round. Erickson masterly coached the England players to stay cool despite every possible provocation, elbows, being spit on etc. I loved the last 20 minutes of this game as Argentina had 100% possession passing the ball sideways across the pitch and when ever they approached the England back 9 they got no where.

  • How better could revenge get?

First he gets sent off against Agentina and England lose the World Cup 1998 so everybody in England hates him.

Then he scores a goal in the last minute to make England qualify for the World Cup 2002

Then he scores against Argentina which was the only goal of the match and Argentina don't even get passed the group stage.

I don't think revenge could get any better than that in football.
