@drzaco55 Yes, you can use a local machine to measure latency using actual audio, you could have recorded this as it is an important factor when deciding on which application to use. If Ventrilo has a much lower latency, this might be a deciding factor for a lot of people on choosing it against TS3.

also, @drzaco55 i love how you claim to know alot about this kind of shit, but to tell you the honest truth, you dont. You host over 2,000 clients? bullshit. one, i dont know how much ram it would take to run 2000 userside programs, which i assume are connected to the same server. two, running 2000 servers would essentially require all of microsoft, GNU/Linux, and Apples shared serverspace. if you can do this your a god.

for some odd reason, this forgets to take in to account the fact that i am not using vent for yet another social media. i am using it to consult with my team about game related things or talk outside of that. i am not spending time customizing my shit outside of game so that i can "get to know them better." teamspeak is better for large guild based games like WoW, whereas Ventrillo is better for use with games that require much less "get to know each other" like LoL, SC2, HoN, DotA2, and in

No one ever takes into account that teamspeak 3 is free to host for as many clients as you want. Where as ventrillo limits you to 8 users on a personal server, otherwise you have to PAY MORE TO USE IT! TS > Ventrilo for THAT REASON ALONE.
