Driving fast on the Autobahn in a Mercedes S-Class (3)

Taking a fast drive on the Autobahns in my region with a Mercedes S350 BlueTec. The car has a 3-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with 258 hp and goes up to 250 km/h, where it is electronically limited. Top speed is reached in this video. The first minutes, however are in a speed-limited zone, where I use the radar-guided cruise control "Distronic Plus".

This is a Mercedes S-Class. Just look at it... flying at 250Km/h - not a single crackling sound, total control, comfortable, reliable, beautiful, elegant, almost effortless driving. Only God knows how much I love this car... :)

Hi Frankie ich finde deine Videos wirklich super! Außerdem hab ich ne Frage... Wie ist das mit der S-Klasse in Baustellen wo die Fahrbahn verengt ist? Kommt man da noch vorbei oder lässt man es lieber. Ist ja doch ein breites Schlachtschiff

Du meinst auf der linken Spur? Man kann es tun, der Geradeauslauf ist ja makellos. Aber es erfordert schon etwas Mut.

@Laserfrankie Ja genau auf der linken Spur, im verengten Baustellenbereich. Etwas Mut erfordert es ja quasi immer, aber wenn auf der rechten Spur ein Brummi fährt, hat man, wenn auch nur theoretisch, genügend Platz?

Great video!, LaserFrankie. You are a lucky man to live in Germany and the Autobahn.
The Mercedes S-class is the best car ever, I think. You did rent more cars.
Is the S-class your favorit car?
Why didn't you use the Distronic Plus not on highspeed? (more safe?)

Yes, the S-Class is my favourite car. But that's my own taste. Others may think different but in my opinion, if you want to own a luxury car, you want it to feel special and the S-Class delivers in that area. It has an aura, it makes the driver feel special, too. It has its own design language inside and outside and doesn't feel just like a blown-up E-Class. I only use cruise control in speed-limited zones. When I drive fast, I want to be in full control of the throttle.
