Heather Lake, Alpine Lake in Washington

Heather Lake is located at the base of Mt Pilchuck, an easy 2.5 mile hike, and about 1,000 ft of elevation gain. It is open to hike early in the season due to it's relatively low elevation of 2,450 ft. 8.5 miles east of Granit Falls off the Mountain Loop Hwy. Holds cutthroat trout. 17.5 acres.

there are several spots to camp around the lake. You do need a Forest Service parking permit at the trailhead parking area.

Is there a place to camp around there? Is there any wilderness camping? My dad and i have been looking for a place to hike, fish, and be able to just set up a tent, we dont want to have to deal with paying for camp sites.
