Paris City of Lights (2005)

Paris - the capital of France, considered by its many admirers to be the most beautiful city in the world. Our film will familiarize you with the most known places of this captivating metropolis. You will accompany us on a walk down the Champs Elysee, Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, the largest art museum in the entire world, Place du Trocadero, as well as the Cathedral of Notre Dame, an architectual jewel made famous by Victor Hugo's famous novel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame".

You will see the architectural monuments from the heydey of French monarchy, buildings from the Napoleonic period, but also the controversial Centre Pomidou, or the ultramodern La Defense quarter.

Our film also includes the nearby chateau of Versailles, the crowning monument of classical revival architecture, with its extensive gardens. Paris, a city admired for centuries by poets and painters is simply unlike any other city in the world. For those who have seen it, this DVD will be a reminder of their visit, for others it will be an invitation to come and see for themselves.

erm... Paris isn't the only great place in France. There're many other beautiful places to visit!! Paris is the most visited, the tourists' favourite (and mine too!) BUT not the most interesting. France is a great country with a great culture and history.

I've been in Paris as student of history of Art,but It was not so exciting as I expected ...there aren't old medieval and baroque houses anymore,just few royal palaces,the project of Hausseman (that made Paris as it is)destroyed all the history of the city....

cities like Bruges,Amsterdam,Strasburg,Kol­en,Dreden,Florence,Venice...an­d of course Rome really tell history from each of their stone!

Well, sandrodream showed again how jelous and agressive italians can be. They have a serious problem with Paris and France and they have never got over the fact that France & Paris is the most visited country and city in the world.

Lovely city, a true diamond. Of course, the whole France is beautiful, French Riviera and Nice, Bordeaux, Lyon, Bretagne, Normandie etc... but this is a video of Paris, so let's focus on that!
