A music video I made for the Neutral Milk Hotel song "Engine".
This recording is from a broadcast by XFM in May 1998 in which Jeff Mangum was interviewed and sang four songs solo including this one.

The movie is a 1924 silent film part of the Tribune-American Dream Picture serial. It is part of the Prelinger Archives so it is licensed under the Creative Commons No Rights Reserved. The short film was originally over seven minutes long, but I cut it down to have the same length and fit with specific parts of the song.
