  • Hi Chris, Your video is fantastic. Great way of teaching! But to be honest... I stop the "wrong" way. And i love it. I'm a goalie and the way you teach doesn't work with pads.

  • @xPUR3xSKiiLLzZ Thank you for the great comment and support, Your pads make things a little different so I understand. It would be great to have some goalie tutorials out there. Don't forget to subscribe and join us on the website forum page :)

  • Hii Chris. I am a skater of course. I can hockey stop pretty well. I just got my skates sharpened. I worked them in too. When i hockey stop, I i spray some ice. It usually goes straight unstead of going pretty high and alot. Can you help me out here? I just really want some tips or help on how to spray the ice higher. Like what i have to do. Thanks Chris. Haha i realyl really wanna spray the ice higher. Oh btw your vids are amazing thaank you plz help

  • @TheSideHQ There are a lot of facts to make sure your doing to get that right, we can go over them in more detail on the forum page as i don't check Youtube daily. follow the link in the video description and to the site join our forum and post your message there, you'll not only get my input but also lots of other experienced hockey players and skaters.

Angle, knee bend, weight distribution and speed are the main things to a high spray...

Skate faster, lean further back, deep knee bend.

  • Hi Chris, just wondering is there any alternative ways to practice outside edge stopping (inside foot) besides T-stop? Thanks

  • @ClassicGil You can also practice an inverted or reversed version of the snow plough if you can imagine what I mean ?

  • That's how I* began to stop

  • When u show the example how not to stop. There's nothing wrong with stopping like that. That's how began to stop. But then ofcourse I can stop with both feet easy

  • много болтает и мало показывает

  • BLACK PERSON ON ICE LOL

  • @symos003 What people tend to do wrong, Atleast beginners is that they dont really 'dare' to do it properly.

  • Thanks Chris. You helped me out. Now i am trying to learn crossover pretty well. now Symos003, make sure you start out going slow, and get very comfortable. then go faster, n u will understand. Other than what Chris said, you need to practice it alot, its not something that you get over night. Keep practicing and let me know what problems you have, cuz most likely i faced them too

  • i have tries a lot but i can never seem to do it and i dont know what im doing wrong

  • Awesome tip!, i know how to hockey stop on my right foot(right foot is outside), but i cant stop with left, when i try, it doesn't scrap, it just turns me.
