  • Lucky you! The only raptors to actually land or perch in our back yard in southern England are Eurasian Sparrowhawks looking for Wood Pigeons, Collared Doves or smaller birds.

  • A photograph of a red shouldered hawk at Corkscrew helped me identify the one in my back yard. So glad I came across this here!

  • It was a Panasonic (now a bit unreliable!) with a 17X optical zoom on a fairly sturdy tripod. The hawk sat totally unconcerned about 15 yards away. I don't think any hawk would be that fearless in the UK!!

  • What did you use to shoot this? Came out great on my comp. I wish I could get them that close when i shoot them.
