Loki gives Nick Fury a piece of his mind, but the S.H.I.E.L.D. Director isn't phased in this clip from "Marvel's The Avengers," in theaters and IMAX 3D May 4!

I've always thought that it's because villains (especially sympathetic ones with backstory,) are the far more interesting characters. It even goes back to kids movies like Disney. The heroes are the typical good guys who will always do the right thing, and the villains are the people with complex motivations and believable emotions that we all recognise (jealousy, hatred, revenge etc.) It's even better when there's some kind of relationship or history between the hero and the villain.

Hmmm, you got me there.... LOL. That's a pretty good analysis. Maybe it's because movie bad guys are hot and real life ones are not?

I remember reading this myth on how Thor and Loki had to dress up like girls to fool this frost giant and get Thor's hammer back. That would be hilarious!

Loki is so awesome and soooooooo unique! that he can be anything and anyone he wants to be! fyi in comics Loki was disguised as a woman, but in mythology he could change his sex and gender and even turning into a mare. fyi he's the god of deception and trickery, the most unique and original villain ever!
