Dvorak - Sonatina in G major

Same competition as my piano video, but I'm playing violin this time :)

Not quite perfect either, so there's always room for improvement...

A few suggestions: At 25 seconds, the short stacatto passages should be shorter. At 33 seconds, the quarter notes should be full bow, and very light. sing it to yourself, and you'll know what i'm talking about.  Great start! Sounds better than when I played it!

I agree. I had the same problem going into college last year. It still needs a little bit of work, but I find myself getting a richer sound, and a straighter bow!

check your pinky finger when holding the bow, it should be bent to get a better bow grip ;)
