Here's the Mega CD version and the 1st game to use EA new Madden engine , which while had nice big sprites , wasn't a patch on Park Place brilliant Madden and Madden 92 engines .

The Mega CD version is much the same as the MD , bar some FMV but the really improvment is some brilliant new sound effecrs and football chants played straight off the CD

  • I like baseball, but I'm terrible at baseball videogames. I don't really care for football, but I usually do pretty well at football videogames. Go figure.

  • @KingmanIII LOL >:)

  • @Chubzdoomer

    you're no fun...

  • @KingmanIII You've never seen players sit on their helmets? Your juvenile joke sucks. Try again.

  • The best part of this game was hitting guys after the play.

  • I still play this, it's better than the Joe Montana Sega-CD game with the odd scaling through out it.

  • i uesd to play this game after peewee football practice....loved this game

  • #30 on the loading screen looks like he's shitting a helmet.

  • he's the legend of all football games![college, that is.]

  • Afterwards, Bill Walsh said, "1990 was a fluke, but today, we beat them fair and square."(1990 was referring to when Stanford beat Notre Dame 2 seasons before.) Stanford went on to have a great season and killed Penn State in the Blockbuster Bowl. Does anyone remember this game? Bill, you are a legend, and we all miss you!

  • As it turned out, the game WAS a blowout. However, it was in Stanford's favor. Bill Walsh worked a lot of magic, and outcoached Lou Holtz, an all-time great college coach, so badly. The Stanford offense went to work, the defense was nasty, and Stanford scored 33 unanswered points! In addition, Stanford held Notre Dame to like less than 20 yards of total offense from there on. The final score was Stanford-33, Notre Dame-16.

  • In 1992, while coaching at Stanford, Bill performed perhaps the best coaching job ever in a single game. His Stanford team went into South Bend to face a loaded Notre Dame team, which included Rick Mirer, Jerome Bettis, Reggie Brooks, Irv Smith, Derrick Mayes, Aaron Taylor, Tim Ruddy, Demitrius Duboise, and Jim Flanagan. The Stanford team was good, but not super. Notre Dame got up 16-0, and this game had blowout written all over it at the time.
