This goddess-worship stuff is a little too weird and "Da Vinci Code" for me (complete with the Wicker Man inspired ritual masks - I kept expecting Nicholas Cage to punch them in the face) though for all we know about the Bronze Age, not much, it might really have been like that.

@Jakegothicsnake Well certainly, I'm sure it is. I'm only making an observation. That even a fascist can feel pride in something, as horrid as it seems to the everyman - those who cherish other humans. Example: the bank robber who is proud to escape being caught. Pride is not limited to those who live decently and with care for others, even a demon can feel pride. Such is the human condition.

@nocturne1980 In the original story she loved Hercules (Herakles, in Greek) but she was afraid of Hera. The only thing she actually did to harm Herakles was leave him on a mountainside because she was afraid Hera would kill her if she kept him. (The story actually gets pretty funny from there on).

@Ptinski The pride I feel is far different from the sort of pride the nazis feel. I feel that all people should feel pride in thier heritage, not shame. My pride is a humble pride.

@Jakegothicsnake Though I respect and understand your sense of ethnic pride, this is not to suggest that "pride" is any different for a nazi or white supremacist just because of their biased beliefs. Pride is pride no matter in what or who. These morons who salute the swastica still feel a swelling in their breast that you do, it's pride by any other name, yes?
