Great video! Entertaining and educational. Thanks Scotty.

@scottykilmer Thank you so much because now I think I will need to bleed them. My assistant pushed the brake pedal while one of the drums were off and the piston came out. Many people up here don't undercoat them and that is what happened here. I got it used and didn't notice the rust when purchasing, that would have been a deal breaker. Everything here needs undercoating from the factory because of salt on the roads.

I have a 96 dodge dakota sport rust bucket truck. The truck is almost like including the engine except for the frame and anything that is attached to the frame including the rear axle. just put on new brake shoes. I didnt need to bleed the brakes but there is hardly anything left of my bleeder valve, it is all rusted away, what would I do should I ever need to bleed the brakes? I feel like I should sell the truck before anything real bad happens because of the rust. Ive been told it is frame rot

@bran1har you can bleed em on the feed line where it bolts to the back of the cylinder. But rust, yea, kills a vehicle. Glad I';m in Texas now, no rust here, cars last forever if you don't wreck em.

would this process be the same for disc brakes?

@iTzCriMSonSkie Yes, but much easier, watch my video "replacing brake pads on your car"

@77raymondt not if you don't open the system up to air.
