Theres a hidden cost in much of the food we eat and the farm workers helping to produce our nations crops often pay the price. Organophosphates, one of the most common and effective pesticides in use today, can be toxic to those exposed to them. These chemicals have consequences that tend to target the poorly-educated, foreign-born young men who make up the vast majority of farm workers. The EPA rejected efforts to ban all organophosphates in 1998. This public service video by masters students in the Colorado School of Public Health shows why its important for consumers to support pesticide-free farming.
